Today’s Midstream Challenge: Overview of today’s midstream challenges including how accelerating PHMSA regulations (and ASME B318S) require improved asset processes and data integration. Discuss these regulations in context with recent inspection findings and Maximo capability.
Building a full Midstream solution: Deployed examples and best practices relative to the following key key steps:
- Effective Data integration of key Midstream Data including Maximo, GIS and Documents.
- Maximo as a cornerstone system to orchestrate lifecycle asset data including spatial and documents
- Practical Maximo integration with the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) or ArcGIS Pipeline Data Model (APDM)
- Configuring advanced inspection and work processes to meet Regulatory requirements
- Adding sustainable business logic that captures key regulatory data and automates downstream actions, e.g. exposed pipe anomaly with follow-on workorders
- Importance of extending field processes with mobility
- Advanced integration – including planning & scheduling, machines, financial systems
PHMSA – Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
