Position Description and Experience:

The Maximo Technical Consultant shall be responsible for the development, enhancement, and effective deployment and support for the 7.6.1.1 Maximo application and 7.6.4 IBM Anywhere mobile solution.

The role with include the ability to:

  • Research system problems and provide resolution, gather and document software requirements
  • Work with the customer to prioritize the requirements
  • Monitor status and communicate status to the project team and the customer
  • Participate in status meetings and produce actions items
  • Trouble shoot user questions concerning the software and processes
  • Communicate the customers’ requirements to the developers
  • Help test the customized Maximo application and to ensure they meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Execute configurations in Maximo
  • Train persons on using Maximo
  • Support Maximo upgrades and patches; conduct development activities in accordance with the software development lifecycle and customer defined change control and compliance procedures; provide support for the expansion of Maximo program capabilities; Configuration Change Management, Tier 3 support for issues related to the Maximo application and supporting products (WebSphere, Cognos, Optim); review requirements and functional designs; and develop and implement complex solutions using internal and external application tools (e.g., workflows, automation scripts, application designer, conditional ui, etc); provide task estimate to project team and support client, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years or more of experience as Maximo Developer
  • Five (5) years or more of experience as Maximo Functional Lead
  • Five (5) years of more of experience with interface development
  • Two (2) years of more of experience with IBM Anywhere
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or IT related fields
  • US Citizen or permanent U.S. Residency
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skill

Must have Skills

  • Installation, upgrade, and patching of Maximo and Add-ons
  • Installation, upgrade, and patching of Maximo System
    • OS (Linux & Windows)
    • Application servers (WebSphere/Liberty)
      • Clustering
    • IBM Maximo Asset Management applications development
      • Applications Designer
      • Workflow
      • Automation Scripting
      • Conditional UI
    • Working knowledge of Maximo integration technologies (Object structures, services, channels, etc.).
    • Deep knowledge/understanding of Maximo business objects
    • Ability to formulate complex SQL queries
    • Experience with development of migration manager packages

Additional Skills Desired

  • Understanding of networking and firewall concepts.
  • Security and authentication protocols – SSL, LDAP, SAML
  • Object Oriented Programming language experience, preferably Java.
  • Working in agile software development environments.
  • BIRT and Cognos Business Intelligence Reporting.
  • Experience working with AWS or other cloud infrastructure
  • Maximo Anywhere
  • Knowledge of EAM best practices and deep functional expertise with Maximo applications

— Full time position onsite in California —

Position Description and Experience:

This is full-time position in California supporting the implementation or upgrade of Maximo. Maximo experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided. Individual in this position will work in a team environment on Maximo projects and be responsible for the following:

  • Take direction from the Project Manager and/or project leads.
  • Assist with configuring Maximo using IBM Maximo configuration tools.
  • Assist in loading client legacy data in Maximo using data loading tool.
  • Learn and Utilize TRM’s customization tools – RulesManager
  • Create basic data manipulation scripts for DB2, Oracle and SQL server.
  • Create database reports using report tools such as BIRT.
  • Learn and utilize web services and MAXIMO integration framework.
  • Learn and utilize mobile technologies specific to Maximo.
  • Assist with testing Maximo configuration changes and/or web programs.
  • Able to travel to customer site.

 

Requirements:

  • BS in commuter science, MIS or a technical discipline (engineering /math)
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Residence

Plus at least one of the below requirements:

  • Java or C++ programming experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and preferably one of Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server
  • Security and authentication protocols – SSL, LDAP, SAML

As a Senior Maximo Consultant you will be responsible for gathering and documenting detailed business requirements and provide guidance on Maximo design and solutions to our customers. You will work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders from multiple business areas providing expert Maximo functional and technical guidance. You will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and effective deployment and support for the Maximo application in accordance with customer defined change control and compliance procedures. In addition, as the Maximo Consultant you may be required to research and troubleshoot system problems and provide guidance and resolution.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of EAM best practices and deep functional expertise with Maximo applications
  • IBM Maximo Asset Management development applications
  • Installation, upgrade, and patching of Maximo System
  • Working knowledge of Maximo integration technologies
  • Deep knowledge/understanding of Maximo business objects

  • Experience with data migration, preferably migration manager packages, JSON files

  • Object Oriented Programming language experience, preferably Java, REST API
  • BIRT report development
