Since IBM’s acquisition of MRO Software in 2006 and with the newly released upgrades of IBM Maximo® Asset Management (their market leading Enterprise Asset Management software), the market demand for Maximo implementation services has skyrocketed. As one of the leading Maximo implementers and in response to this market demand for Maximo services, Total Resource Management, Inc. (TRM) has increased recruiting and instituted a bonus payment plan for Maximo certifications.
“We’ve seen our customer base for Maximo services more than double over the past year and our reputation for hiring the best precedes any engagement,” commented Garner Bennett president of TRM. TRM consultants have always taken the initiative to stay current on their Maximo, ITIL framework and Project Management Professionals (PMP) certifications to ensure that the best possible implementation project is delivered to clients. TRM has recently established bonus payments for all of these certifications and many other technical certifications and has even paid retroactively. “We pride ourselves on a performance-based culture and rewarding our employees for taking the time outside of their current project schedule to get certified is part of that. TRM is an organization that supports employees in building their professional careers,” said Bennett. Nearly 100% of TRM’s senior consultants have their PMP and Maximo certifications and 30% of all billable TRM employees are certified.
TRM’s method of growing is to hire one senior, deeply experienced consultant to two junior-level specialists to created balanced project teams that can deliver projects on time and within budget. The bonus plan for certifications, in addition to our tuition reimbursement benefit, enables new junior employees to dramatically increase their skills and expand their career. “Over the past fifteen years, we’ve seen that it’s common for an inexperienced employee to go through the TRM process of on-the-job training, mentoring and education to become a senior level consultant within a few short years – enabling career growth that few could have imagined,” commented Don Omura, Chief Operations Officer. TRM is actively seeking talented Maximo consultants and those that want to learn the EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) practice.
