Aligning Business Processes with MXES, featuring Bureau of Reclamation Case Study

Learn how the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) used industry best practices for asset and maintenance programs to standardize processes for sixty sites across seventeen states.
Using a standard methodology and detailed plan from Total Resource Management, Reclamation analyzed existing business practices and system data. Using checklists based on asset and maintenance best practices, benchmarking metrics and cultural analysis to understand its baseline, Reclamation improved processes and Maximo administration bureau-wide.
A gap analysis between Reclamation’s current state and “best practices” highlighted opportunities for improvements and associated benefits. Finally, new performance metrics were deployed to monitor the progress of new practices in conjunction with an upgrade project to MXES.
