Tree-Based Navigation
All elements of the application page are placed in a hierarchical Tree Navigation Pane. Users navigate by simply opening grids, tables and rows, then selecting elements for modification. Other data-driven elements may be added by using intuitive, menu-driven functions.

Easy Editing of Grid and Page Element Properties
Each selected element can be edited using the navigation pane’s property box. Modification of an element’s label, position and referenced database field may be done in place, without a need to understand the Java server page tag syntax. New attributes can be added through an intuitive user interface.

Quick Preview Mode
All modifications to the Java server page are available in a preview screen, providing immediate feedback. TRM ScreenBuilder also has a robust set of visual feedback mechanisms. For example, elements selected in the Tree Navigation Pane view automatically synchronize with the corresponding element in Quick Preview view and vice versa.

UNDO and Checkpoint
Element misplacements and editing errors can easily be corrected with a single keystroke using the UNDO function. At any point in the editing process, the page may be checkpointed, committing all edits to an interim save. These capabilities, in combination with Quick Preview mode, help reduce page development time significantly.

Live Preview Mode
At any point, the edited Java server page may be connected to the Maximo data server and tested live using the Maximo dataset before committing changes to the system-wide environment.

In-Place Text and Label Editing
Selecting a Maximo label on a Quick Preview screen automatically places the user in edit mode for easy and quick label edits. You simply type the modified label, grid title or tab text directly on the screen and the change automatically is posted to the Java server page.

Drag and Drop Functionality
To move individual elements on a page, simply use TRM ScreenBuilder’s drag-and-drop feedback mechanism when in Quick Preview mode. Color-coding lets you know valid drop locations on a page (green: unoccupied; red: occupied). This helps reduce placement errors.
