JULY 26, 2004 – Alexandria, VA – Total Resource Management (TRM), an asset management consulting and technology solutions provider, announced the signing of an alliance agreement with Quality Systems Inc. (QSI) that allows both companies to extend their expertise in the deployment of enterprise asset management (EAM) systems in the energy and nuclear power industries. TRM is a developer of world-class EAM technology solutions for federal, state and local municipalities, manufacturing, transportation and utilities markets. In recent months, TRM has enabled utility companies such as Baltimore Gas and Electric, Minnesota Power and Colorado Springs Utilities to tailor their EAM systems using TRM’s Maximo® software utilities such as TRM RulesManager™, TRM ScreenBuilder™ and KPI Manager™. These time- and cost-saving products work in conjunction with the implementation of Maximo enterprise asset management system upgrades. “This alliance with QSI allows us to provide our clients with more in-depth energy and utility industry expertise,” says TRM President and CEO Ray Brisbane. “We are pleased to be able to include the QSI team on our projects and in the development of our industry specific solutions.” Like TRM, QSI has extensive experience in deploying EAM systems. QSI’s expertise lies with the power generation, transmission and distribution industries in the maintenance management of plant or facility operations. QSI worked closely with Dynergy during its acquisition of Illinois Power. With QSI’s assistance, Dynergy was able to successfully upgrade Illinois Power’s mainframe asset management system to an EAM system applying Dynergy’s system configuration and business practices across the newly formed business operation. Bill Olsen, president of QSI and a 35-year veteran of the power generation industry says: “After years of success in power generation, other industries – such as water and wastewater, and oil and gas – began seeking QSI to provide similar efficiencies and cost savings." “We’re pleased to be teaming with TRM on projects that can fully utilize both companies’ expertise,” Olsen continues. “We are now able to offer TRM products and resources to further satisfy our clients’ deeper IT system architecture engineering and software development needs.” The alliance already is actively developing energy and nuclear power industry specific key performance indicators (KPIs). Data is consolidated from a variety of systems and displayed in a graphically rich environment to provide vital, up-to-date information for executives to make more informed capital investment decisions.
