FEBRUARY 15, 2005 – Alexandria, VA – Total Resource Management (TRM) today releases TRM ConstructionManager™, a new software solution that manages and tracks projects related to major repairs of existing facilities or construction of new facilities and buildings. ConstructionManager joins TRM’s suite of performance enhancing technology products that extend the usefulness of Maximo 5.2 with out-of-the-box functionality. Initially conceived as a solution for municipalities that manage multiple capital improvement projects, TRM designed the ConstructionManager module to meet the needs of a variety of organizations – such as federal, state and local enterprises, utilities, design engineering firms, large educational institutions and commercial businesses – that manage their own construction projects. Because TRM ConstructionManager is an add-on module to Maximo 5.2, it expands the functionality of this enterprise asset management (EAM) system. Its compatibility with Microsoft Project® and Excel®, Maximo Work Flow® and Maximo Primavera P3 Integration® allows for the seamless transfer of project information across functional groups. The improved flow of information between internal users, managers and contractors allows project managers, engineers and support personnel to more effectively manage the day-to-day data associated with multiple projects. And senior managers have more visibility over their project portfolios, enabling greater insight into their business, financial and project performance. TRM ConstructionManager offers a variety of features including project grouping and tracking; change order tracking; project status reporting (including financial and schedule performance); bid tracking and warranty tracking. The software utilizes Actuate® and Microsoft Excel to generate reports such as up-to-date Gantt charts with milestones, tasks and resource planning; cost forecasts and actuals; resource allocations; daily cost analyses; task lists and schedules – all of which can be printed, stored and routed via email. “We’re already seeing large demand for this product within federal, state and local governments, as well as vertical industries that handle multiple construction projects,” says Don Omura, vice president of TRM Pacific operations. He notes that 200 seats already have been sold in advance of the official product release. The ability to meet an emerging demand is one of TRM’s hallmarks, according to Ray Brisbane, the company’s CEO and president. “Our consulting and implementation services bring us right into the heart of our clients’ organizations and allow us to deeply understand their enterprise asset management requirements and create the tools and solutions that fit their needs.” About TRM Maximo® is a registered trademark of MRO Software, Inc.
