JANUARY 14, 2004 – Alexandria, VA – Total Resource Management (TRM), an asset management consulting and technology solutions provider, announced today that the CPA Program Management Office (PMO) has awarded it a competitive, $1.9 million small business set-aside contract to configure, deploy and integrate the technology system that will drive the multisite, multilingual enterprise for the infrastructure reconstruction effort in Iraq. Using this system, TRM will help the PMO manage all the resources allocated to rebuild schools, hospitals, utilities, natural resources, government offices and all infrastructure elements. It will integrate with the financial and procurement systems that the U.S. government uses to support the rebuilding effort. TRM is responsible for making sure the systems are engineered in a way that makes it easy for the Iraqis to successfully continue the work started by the U.S. and its allies. “This is the largest undertaking in the history of military reconstruction projects and we are very pleased to be an integral part of this team,” explains Ray Brisbane, president and CEO of TRM. “Because the massive rebuilding effort has to be managed by fewer government employees than would normally be allocated for a project of this size, the challenge is to employ experienced support contractors with the expertise to make up the difference through IT solutions. Over the past 10 years, we’ve proven our expertise in the deployment of enterprise asset management systems for the DOD, particularly for the U.S. Navy. We are more than ready for this challenge.” A primary objective of the Rebuilding Iraq PMO is to leverage the Internet to maintain project detail work and material management activity remotely - from any location. The systems TRM deploys are expected to arrive in Baghdad early next month and will immediately start supporting the processing of more than 5,000 projects determined critical to the rebuilding effort. All contractors and suppliers, including all materials and services, will be processed and tracked through these systems. About TRM TRM was founded in 1993. Its headquarters are located in Alexandria, VA, and supporting offices are located across the U.S. TRM’s Advanced Technology Centers are located in Virginia, California, Hawaii and Washington.
