TRM Quality Assurance Program
Project Management Assurance
TRM’s Project Management Methodology for all projects includes a set of phases, activities and tasks, which are undertaken to successfully complete a project. Each activity is accompanied by a comprehensive set of documents and templates that enable the Project Manager and team members to substantially reduce time taken to finalize each activity and to ensure that it is completed in an acceptable, comprehensive, clear, and concise manner. A set of “management processes” is also provided to enable managers to monitor and control the production of project deliverables.
Project Reporting
TRM will employ proven TRM Project Reporting Methodologies, which include formal, standard internal project reporting processes and procedures that have been developed over many years. This involves collecting and disseminating performance information to provide stakeholders with data about how resources are being used to achieve project objectives and included the following processes:
- Status reporting – describing where the project now stands. For example, status related to schedule and budget metrics.
- Progress reporting – describing what the project team has accomplished. For example, percent complete to schedule, or what is completed versus what is in process.
- Forecasting – predicting future project status and progress.
TRM’s performance reports provide information on scope, schedule, cost and quality.
TRM Quality Statement
TRM is committed to providing quality products and services that consistently meet its customers' requirements. The Board of Directors recognizes that the quality of products and services are essential to success in business and the Company is committed to meeting the customer's quality requirements.
Project Schedule Assurance
TRM employs proven TRM Project Schedule Assurance Methodologies, which include standard, formal internal project schedule processes and procedures that have been developed over many years.
Project Cost Assurance
TRM will employ proven TRM Project Cost Assurance Methodologies, which include standard, formal internal project cost processes and procedures that have been developed over many years.
TRM’s standard cost policies and procedures include, but are not limited to, the following rules for:
- Monitoring cost performance to detect and understand variances from the plan.
- Ensuring that all appropriate changes are recorded accurately in the cost baseline.
- Preventing incorrect, inappropriate or unauthorized changes from being included in the cost baseline.
- Informing appropriate stakeholders of authorized changes.
- Acting to bring expected costs within acceptable limits.
TRM’s cost assurance methods also include searching out the “whys” of both positive and negative variances and thoroughly integrating this with the other assurance processes (scope change control, schedule control, quality control and others).
Project Human Resource Management Assurance
TRM will employ proven TRM Human Resource Project Assurance Methodologies, which include formal, standard internal HR project processes and procedures that have been developed over many years. These practices are intended to ensure that TRM can provide a stable workforce with the appropriate technical expertise and that TRM can provide the scalability required to meet project workload fluctuations.
Specifically, the Human Resource Project Management approach we have created for Navy projects will include the following items and/or activities:
(Note: Some of the items may refer to internal or external processes, activities and/or outputs).
- Skilled project staffing and selection processes and procedures
- Roles and Responsibilities Matrix
- Staffing Management Plan
- Project Organization chart
- Individual Performance Reports
- Team Performance Reports
