Job Title: System/Network Engineer
Location: Alexandria, VA

Description:

System/Network Engineer to provide TRM IT operational support across the corporation.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Provide Voice, LAN, WAN, Server, Email and Desktop Support for TRM’s Internal IT operations and corporate initiatives.
  
• Time permitting, contribute towards TRM’s Systems Engineering practice to provide direct support to project related work.
  
• Must be willing to travel to other offices as required (estimated to be no more than 10-25%).

Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials:

• 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering or MIS is preferred.
  
• 1-2 years of work experience as a system and/or network administrator (or similar) preferred.
  
• Knowledge and disciplines in primarily Windows server/desktop operating systems; Sun and Linux (server and desktop) a plus.
  
• Knowledge of Lotus Notes administration is highly desirable.
  
• Knowledge of virtualization concepts and technology (e.g., VMWare) is a plus.
  
• Knowledge and disciplines of local area, wide area, and wireless network design concepts and deployment.
  
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience in variety of hardware (servers, laptops, desktops, routers, switches, firewalls, ups, cable plant, etc).
  
• Technical and analytical writing skills required.
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  
• Microsoft, Solaris, and Cisco certifications are desired, but not required.
  
• Must be able to multi-task, work independently but at the same time contribute and work effectively towards team and corporate objectives.
