Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Alexandria, VA
Position Description:
- Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating functions for one or more areas of the projects.
- Responsible for project budget, project schedule, and deliverables.
- Responsible for overall project performance on assigned project.
- Responsible for the resolution of project requirements.
- Directs, guides, and coordinates the activities of a group, or groups, of personnel performing project tasks.
- Works without technical supervision.
- Possesses knowledge of industry practices, standards and technology areas.
- Performs/Directs work in assigned projects to achieve project requirements and goals.
- Develops solutions to problems of varied complexity.
- Works independently and direct efforts of others.
- Responsible for the control of all associated project documents and files.
- Maintains current and obsolete documentation for the project.
- Assembles document packages for the staff as required to assure that the latest version is utilized.
- Responsible for mentoring junior team members in project management methodologies and processes.
- Responsible for assisting in proposal development and other business development opportunities.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Identify Project requirements and the path to fulfill those requirements.
- Provide recommendations on direction of project.
- Project staffing resource allocation and management.
- Project budgets allocation and management.
- Project Staffing Projections and allocations.
- Project Schedules and Deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for new business.
- Identify opportunities for existing business.
- Participate in on-site client meetings.
Required Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials:
- Ten (10) years technical experience in systems integration, software engineering or project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, computer science, or other IT related discipline.
- Experience in Asset Management, Maintenance Management or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Experience managing enterprise-wide software implementations (ERP, EAM, etc.).
- IT Hardware or infrastructure project management experience will not be considered.
- Big five consulting experience.
- Experience in the following: Program Management, Communication Skills, Site Evaluations,
- Feasibility Studies, Proposal Development (Estimating and Budgeting), Personnel Forecast Development.
- Experience in the following: Microsoft Office products; Project, Visio, Power Point, Excel
Misc:
- Position will require person to be on-site for five days a week in Washington, DC
- Maximo experience a plus
- ERP experience a plus
- Some travel required (20-30%)
